Personal attacks, rumors, and defamation of character say far more about those spreading the false information than they do about their intended target. This behavior reveals insecurity, a lack of integrity, and an unwillingness to engage constructively. It underscores a desire to tear others down rather than build anything meaningful or positive. Ultimately, such actions reflect poorly on their character and credibility, exposing who they truly are.

In the week since I started this blog, I’ve been overwhelmed by an outpouring of support—thank you all for that. However, it’s also brought out the worst in those who thrive on negativity, revealing the ugliness that already exists within them.

I have committed myself to restraint, even in the face of personal attacks and the deeply troubling threats directed at my daughter. While these ignite my sense of protectiveness and stir more concern than words can express, I will not lower myself to that level.

I’ll leave with the bold words of Megan Moroney who addressed the haters and bullies far better than I ever could: “Bless your heart, must be hard being as mean as you are. Shooting daggers, throwing stones from a self-appointed bull-shit throne. I’m good with words, could make you hurt but I won’t twist the knife. I’m just glad I’m everything you aren’t, bless your heart.”
